A New haiku Competition in Croatia !
Here is an e-mail from my haiku friends in Croatia, informing us of “A new haiku competition in Croatia.”
We sincerely hope that you are willing to send your haiku, sharing it with each other.
sending you warm regards from Croatia!
It’s been quite exciting here, Croatian haijins gathered in the town of Delnice, the mountains of Gorski Kotar, the Green Heart of Croatia.
There, beside many interesting and beautiful things, we had a haiku recital by adult poets and many wonderful haiku written by grammar school children. Also, there happened an arrangement for the haiku competition with the theme of the blood donation, between the representative of the Croatian Institute for the Transfusion Medicine, Zagreb, and our Haiku Association “Three Rivers” from the town of Ivanic Grad.
We love haiku, in his very special way he connects poets of the world, and then, here is the blood donation, such a wonderful thing we can do for each other, to help save lives. Connecting the two is to me and my husband, both the blood donors as well as haiku poets, very exciting work we can do!
If possible, please inform public about this competition, so many haiku poets join in.
Sending you our regards with many thanks for your time, sincerely Djurdja and Stjepan Rozic
