1    スティーブン・ホーキング博士に捧げて

本年2018年3月14日に亡くなられた英国の理論物理学者のスティーブン・ホーキング博士に捧げて2首詠いました。博士は21歳のときに発症された難病の「筋委縮性側索硬化症」(ALS)と闘病しつつ車イスの生活を余儀なくされつつも、生涯を宇宙と時間、空間の研究に捧げその業績で偉大なる貢献をし、世界中の人々に愛されてきました。

 

Homage to Professor Stephen Hawking, I dedicated two tankas to him.

Professor Hawking passed away, aged 76, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Although he got the nerve disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which he developed at 21, and was confined to the wheel chair life under medication, he studied the universe, the nature of time and space and he made a great contribution to science throughout his lifetime.  He has been loved by people around the world.
