<For Lake Shusen /

I drove to Lake Shusen, Yoroihata Dam Lake, in Semboku City, Akita, Japan, on 6th May 2022.  I was fascinated by the lake’s colour, filled with melting snow water.

In addition, it was already the early summer, but cherry blossoms were still blooming there.

1

Eternal cerulean

of melting snow water

is being opened…

I may disappear

into Lake Shusen

2

start of summer…

water of melting snow fills

Lake to the brim

submerging the young leaves

sprouting now

3

look up…

the early summer shines

through cherry

the border of season shimmers

flaming up

< I made the following pieces in April>

4

like praying

Magnolia blooms

with its core

facing the midheaven

in the spring melancholy

5

whole clear sky

being studded with stars

Orion

shining at the western edge

…spring night floods me

cedar blossoms

scattering seasonal pollen

I breeze by

up to them without fear

and take pictures

  • Since then, I have been sick with a pollen allergy.

7

young swans

return to the north

in a headlong rush

as if cutting open

the sky

8

the pond

reflects even the duck

in the parallel world…

melting snow is like

celestial water

9

excellent plum blossoms

in the faint pink lining

beautifully

up to the sky

of Ou region in April

10

forsythia dancing wildly

each floret vibrating

mutually

becomes one harmony

sparkling in the garden
