Haiku and Photo Haiku by Jim Force

——————–haiku———–

below the surface

of the new reservoir

a forest of stumps

cloud shadows

rise and fall

across the foothills

drops of dew

along the garden path

entwined snails

magnetic north

the irresistible

call of nature

smoke-filled sky

a red moon clears

the horizon

summer breeze

the forest fills with songs

of rustling leaves

wind-blown juniper

every limb dead

save one

——————-photo haiku—————-

Photographer Jim Webster has given his permission for the use of his images in “endless list” and “trail’s end.”

“Mt. Rundle” photo and haiku are both mine.

the endless list

of side effects

climate change

a long day’s trek

there & back again

Mt. Rundle

trail’s end

how glorious

to be alive
