On July 6, Dr. Shashi Angelee Deodhar, a haiku friend of mine in India, sent me an e-mail, telling about The Only One Kagoshima Tree haiku contest as follows..
This year’s Only One Kagoshima Tree haiku contest opened on the summer solstice June 22 and ends on September 23 the autumn equinox. 3 Prize Winners and Honorably Mentioned haiku will be announced at a Music & Haiku Symposium on Culture Day November 3, 2015 at the International University of Kagoshima.
Entries (with name, postal mailing address, email address, nationality, age, haiku club name, profession/study major) can be sent to:

The submission date deadline(postmarked envelopes) is September 23, so that contestants can make plans to attend the November 3rd musical celebrations of haiku.

The Only One Kagoshima Tree haiku contest sponsored by The Asahi Shimbun ends Sept. 23, the autumn equinox. Prize winners and honorably mentioned haiku will be announced Nov. 3, Culture Day, at a Music & Haiku Symposium held at the International University of Kagoshima during the 30th National Culture Festival. Haiku about trees (with your name, postal mailing address, email address, nationality, age, haiku club name, profession/study-major on each entry) can be entered via the address below.
