Kala Ramesh is the Founder of Triveni Haikai India and the Founder and Managing Editor of haikuKATHA Journal.

Her book of haiku and haibun ‘beyond the horizon beyond‘ was shortlisted for the Rabindranath Tagore Prize 2019

Her third book of tanka and tanka prose ‘the forest i know’, was published by HarperCollins, in July 2021. 

Kala has organized eight haikai conferences in India since 2006.

To bring haiku into everyday spaces, she has initiated several projects.

She has been teaching haiku, haibun and tanka to school kids, undergrads, and adults for the last 17 years.
