Biography

My name is Kimberly Olmtak Gomes. I was born in Suriname, South America and I am currently living there.

At present, I am a part-time English language teacher at the Teacher Training Institute in Suriname. Besides teaching I was also a school principal and later on manager at an ICT training institute.

In my spare time I love to read and write poetry, in particular haiku. I became such a keen reader of haiku that I decided to learn the rules and eventually even ventured on writing haiku myself. Now it is one of my most favourite pastimes.
