талая вода

в лесном овражке

запах прелых листьев

snow water

in forest ravine

bitter smell of leaves

доплыть бы

до места, где свет

белых кувшинок

if only I could swim

to a place with light

from water lilies

раскаты грома

облаивает облака

белый пудель

thunder roaring

white poodle barking

at the clouds

тихое озеро

спит в камышах

дедушкина лодка

peaceful lake

sleeping in reeds

grandpa’s boat

бабочка…

не помню, как оказалась

на другом берегу

butterfly…

how did I get

to the far shore

каштаны в цвету

щебечут ласточки

на родном языке

chestnut tree in bloom

swallows chattering

in my mother tongue

распахиваю дверь

дождь меня ждёт

в вишнёвом саду

door wide opened

rain is waiting for me

in the cherry orchard

продана дача

укрываю розы

напоследок

summer house sold

I cover roses with leaves

for the last time

Biography

Liudmila Skrebneva was born in 1960 in Tambov (Russia) and has lived in Kazan since 1969.

She graduated from the faculty of Biology of Kazan Federal University. Her professional activity has been related to the monitoring of environmental pollution with the use of honeybees and bee products.

She has PhD in Ecology. She is married, has a son and a daughter. Her hobbies are flowers, dancing (flamenco) and a little poodle. 

Liudmila is the multiple winner of  tanka and haiku competitions of the magazines «Poetry» and «Wildflowers» (Moscow), of the International Haiku Competition МКХ-10, МКХ -11, МКХ-12 (Moscow; 2018, 2019, 2020); competitions “Fairy tale today “(Germany; 2018, 2019); project participant «100 russian haiku for Akita» (Japan, 2017; 2021).
