Haiga and Haiku by Lisa Fox (pen name Jade Li)

1

spring bees find redbud

bright yellow pollen purses

their drone fills the tree

2

sleeping dragon larch

rests in winter’s withered field

snow blankets for mice

3

crystal slides in sun

a blue hawk opens her wings

deer paw at new grass

4

winter Zen garden

snow fills gravel’s rippled sea

siskin chirp in pine

5

summer spirits haunt
empty winter pavilion
smell of cooking meat

6

bare trees stand, still
winter benches lined with snow
along frozen lake

November’s first snow

water surrenders its form

cold mountain gray skies

Rain gone, leaves quiver,
diamonds in a sun dance
to wind’s wet music.

flower garden sleeps

under Hunter Moon

silent owl wings

night thunder rumbles,

lightning flashes, raindrops drip

cats curl, lost in dreams
