tiny on the map

the kid in me
wakes up suddenly
school ground

deepening dusk
the busker’s white cane
on the sloping surface

winter dusk
a fish crow treading
on the shore

between the earth
and the sky . . .
my soaring desire

deep summer
a buffalo plunge
into the muddy pond

old age home —-
a little girl’s
welcoming smile

crowded park . . .
a hesitant dragonfly decides
another blade of grass

Dashain festival
the aroma of spices
all over the village

Manoj Sharma,a public accountant lives in Kathmandu,Nepal. He has been writing English Language Haiku since the year 2015 and also writes haiku in his native language Nepali.
