Haiku by Ravi Kiran
after the swim
footsteps sizzle
on mid-day sand
almost dawn
dew drops on the grass
below my bare feet
too big to sink
a beach boulder
with smooth edges
river map
the slime trail
of a garden slug
new beginning
the waves wash away
my footprints
country road
my car rolls over
a dead snake
still blinding
the sun
in a puddle
white daffodils
from her garden…
on her grave
mudflat walk
footprints
heal themselves
moon veers
closer to the earth
cherry blossoms
