Haiku by Roberta Beach Jacobson
climate change
my daughter prays
for rain
folding
shoreline mist
origami
artifacts
at river’s bend
drought
winter’s eve
rumors of war
on the news
deeply rooted
in earth’s secrets
sugar maple
broken marble
in my pocket
Earth Day
all the continents
I’ve never visited . . .
library globe
out at sea
watching the climate
change
while we slept
the sun
came up
keeping secrets
at sunrise
crows
