the earth again slept thirsty that night

空から落ちた一滴の涙

農夫の目には一晩中雨が降っていた

その夜地球は再び喉が渇いて眠りました

BRIEF PROFILE

R. Suresh babu is a school teacher and illustrator from Kerala, India. His haiku, senryu, haiga, cherita and gembun have been featured in anthologies and journals.

Inspired by fine works of haiku by R. Suresh babu, Hidenori Hiruta introduces some Japanese Haiku (Japanese/English) from HI (Haiku International) magazine issued by HIA (HAIKU INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION).
