Haiku by Samo Kreutz
1.>
flirty girl
winking back at her
the morning sun
2.>
perfume bottle
well preserved in it
bird tunes
3.>
plantain syrup
calming his bad cough
a taste of rainbow
4.>
bullet train
rushing across the state
a barberry shrub scent
5.>
ripening grain …
how quickly we became
adults
(previously published on the Asahi Haikuist Network, September 2022)
6.>
fortune teller
ending her sentences
a shrieky magpie
7.>
late summer forest
I try not to disturb
falling leaves
(previously published in the Jalmurra: Art & Poetry Journal, September 2022)
8.>
the warmth
of my granny’s hands –
a soil after the harvest
9.>
hailstorm …
in a retirement home
all the fragrances
10.>
clothesline
forgotten on it
a wet sparrow
(previously published in the Scarlet Dragonfly Journal, November 2022)
