Haiku by Shanmao
1.
fireweed thickets
it always takes less
the way home
2.
starry sky
making a wish
son
3.
a warmer shawl
muted colors
of field herbs
4.
starry night
on a plaid blanket falling
cherry petal
5.
chestnuts blossoming
so the youth
gone unnoticed
6.
lilac bush
so festive
the day most common
7.
worn sneakers…
he’s boasting
about being to the Moon
8.
country church
oh what a song they sing
local bullies
9.
feldsher station
raspberry and nettle thickets
along the fence
10.
autumn morning
it’s all wind i tell
makes me tear

About Shanmao:
My name is Shanmao. I live in Moscow, Russia. I’m writing haiku since about the end of August 2017; participating in contests, including the large international one that is held annually by HAIKAI.RU.
I find Inspiration in travels around my beloved Moscow City and her suburban areas, and also in my friends.
I love making photographs; i love reading, and since recently i’m a member of book club.
I like feeding stray animals on the street whenever i can.
I also love gardening and hoping one day to plant a tree that won’t die and will live even after me, as a kind of a token of my then past presence on Earth.
