1 Chinese Haiku

君山自古无

元是昆

吹落洞庭湖

Mount Jun

which used not

to exist in ancient times

had been originally a rock

on the top of Mount Kunlun

which whence was blown of

into Lake Dongting

by the sea wind

君山

古代には存在してなかった

元はもともと岩だった

崑崙山の頂上にあったが

そこから吹き飛ばされ

洞庭湖へ

海風に乗って

NOTE:

This haiku is based upon a poem by the poet Fang Gan of Tang Dynasty. The original poem consists of four lines, each line being made up of seven Chinese characters. Mount Jun is a mountain in the midst of Lake Dongting, which is located in the north of Hunan Province, China.
