an Earth ball is floating
away
descending
Earth is welcoming me
with city lights
at sea
clouds follow us
from the land
haiku contest
Earth is now on my mind,
not bills
music of universe
Earth is still in tune
with the Sun
music of universe
Earth is giving its share
with its blueness
universe
Earth cannot possibly be
without Moon
hot air ballooning
Earth changes its face
so gracefully

Željko Funda, 1950, has been dealing with haikuas a poet, essayist, critic, sponsor, event organizer and souvenir designer for 47 years. Published “The Book of Sandwiches”, (“haibunnies”), 2001, “The Book of Moments”, (haiku),2012, and “Birds Have Feathers, Lizzards Have the Sun”,(“haibunnies”) 2017. Won about 50 national and international awards and commendations. Represented in anthologies and joint booklets in Croatia and abroad.
