the abating glow

of ardent love

December holly –

she shows off

her red stud earrings

stubbornly he rubs

his bruised ego

pinwheel –

a Buddhist monk

lost in meditation

love at first sight –

sashaying into my life

a swan

Mount Fuji

I scale the heights

of inspiration

rebellion –

a dolphin at the marine park

defies orders

a swoop of swallows

joins the clouds
