ウクライナから

　彼女は、ウクライナの俳人です。2023年8月、日本で俳句集 『ウクライナ、地下壕から届いた俳句』（集英社インターナショナル）を刊行しました。

　私は、Facebookで彼女の俳句を知り、「反戦の俳句」という拙文に彼女の作品を引用させていただきました。そのご縁で、彼女の句集刊行のお祝いに、作品をご依頼申し上げました。争いの長引くウクライナの地で俳句を詠み続ける彼女から届けられた新作とプロフィールとエッセイです。

　一日も早く平和な日々になることを願うばかりです。

The walnut tree has shed 

but the branches are keeping 

sparrows.

木の葉散るくるみ雀の鈴なりに

・・・・・・・

I just got used 

to the new window views, 

but the leaves are gone.

新しき窓辺慣るるも裸木に

In a strange city 

windows are lighting 

one by one.

奇妙な街にひとつづつ灯る窓

Autumn’s coldness. 

Flowers are shedding 

on minefields.

秋寒し花々の散る地雷原

this narrow bridge has heard 

‘thank you’.

【プロフィール】

Vladislava Simonova  　ウラジスラバ・シモノバ

　1999年3月23日、ウクライナ東部のハリコフ生まれ。14歳の時、病気のため自宅療養。その頃から詩を書き始める。趣味は尺八、ウクレレ、中国茶道、写真、詩、プログラミング。ロシアのウクライナ侵攻後、三か月近くを防空壕に。2022年9月、一家でポルタヴァ市に避難。

　2018年、三つの国際俳句コンテストで受賞。

　彼女の詩は、馬場朝子編訳 『俳句が伝える戦時下のウクライナ　ウクライナの市民、7人へのインタビュー』（現代書館）、俳句の雑誌、中日新聞、秋田魁新報、共同通信社、読売新聞、朝日新聞に掲載。NHK番組にも出演。

　2023年、第一句集 『ウクライナ、地下壕から届いた俳句』（黛まどか監修）（集英社インターナショナル）を日本で刊行。

エッセイ

 　When I feel the need to capture something that brings me emotions, I write haiku. It’s almost the same feeling when you see something you want to take a picture of. Sure, there are challenges with composing haiku. The main one is the language difference. Originally haiku form is for the Japanese language. When composing haiku, I often count syllables with my fingers. It is a very comfy way for me. Also, it is challenge to write anything brand new about things which have been always the same even centuries ago.  

 　Before the war, the nature was the main theme of it. It gives me so much inspiration when I watch trees and flowers, rivers and skies. But I couldn’t even imagine writing about the war. When life changes, poetry changes too. Composing haiku makes me feel better because it gives me an opportunity to transform my emotions into a poetry form. When my life moved to a bomb shelter, I kept fixing new experiences in that way too. I felt like it’s necessary to write about those days, so later people around the world could share my experience. Everyone saw this war on TV but it’s more important to see the other side from a poetic point of view. I wrote about children playing with paper planes in the bomb shelter. I wrote about my dog barking at the night explosions. When you’re overwhelmed by all these emotions, it’s impossible not to write.

　私は、感動を呼び起こす何かを感じたとき、俳句を書く。写真を撮りたいと思う気持ちと同じだ。俳句を作り上げることは、挑戦である。それは言語がちがうし、俳句形式は日本語のものであるからだ。俳句を詠むとき、私は指を使って数えるようにすると、しっくりする。さらにまた、何百年も続く俳句に真新しい何かを書くことは挑戦なのである。

　戦争前は自然が俳句のテーマだった。 木々、花々、川、空を見ると、たくさんのインスピレーションが湧いた。だけど戦争について書くとはおもいもよらなかった。 生活変わり、詩も変わった。 俳句を書くと気分が落ち着いたのは、感情を詩にすることができたからだ。防空壕の生活になっても、その経験を俳句にした。その日々を書くことは、私の体験を世界中の人々と共有できるから大切なのだと気づいた。誰もがこの戦争をTVで観たけれど、詩的な眼でみることも重要だ。私は、 防空壕のなか、紙飛行機で遊ぶ子供のことも夜間の爆撃に吠える愛犬のことも書いた。 こんな感情が押し寄せれば、書かざるを得ないのだ。
