HAIKU to Akita’s “Haiku Beyond Earth”

こんにちは、俳句愛好家の皆さん!

Today, on World Book Day, I’m delighted to say that my second haiku book has been in stock! All the profits will be donated to Ukraine.

The new book contains 297 haiku which were translated directly from the Ukrainian language and are completed by my photography of Ukraine and some private photos too. I believe each of these 297 haiku are like little steps on the cultural bridge between Ukraine and Japan. Please, enjoy!

「一句一句が私の心を日本へ運ぶ小さな一歩なのです」

　　今もウクライナで俳句を詠み続ける若き俳人ウラディスラワ・シモノワ(Vladislava Simonova 愛称ブラダ)がウクライナ語で詠んだ俳句とその日本語訳を併記した俳句集。
　　全297句と、著者自選の11句と本人によるエッセーを、ウクライナ語と日本語訳で掲載。日本語訳を元に、坪内稔典・八木健・大鋸甚勇の三氏が作句し鑑賞する章「Dear ブラダ俳句界の三賢人による作句と鑑賞」も。著者のプライベート写真やウクライナの風景など50枚超と八木久子氏の日本画多数で構成された、全96頁フルカラーの、目でも楽しめる本。
　　日本の伝統的文化である俳句による文化交流を通して、遠く離れたウクライナと日本の絆を結び、ウクライナ支援につなげたいとの思いで作られた句集。
　　メディアでの紹介多数:「ETV特集『戦禍の中のHAIKU』」(NHK)、「ドキュメント20min.『ウクライナ俳句交換日記』」(NHK)出演。

Every page is eye-catching and breathtaking. Haiku, her photography of Ukraine and some personal photos are wonderful and memorable. Her book makes us think about what the Earth should be like.
