at the bus stop
the little boy’s shadow
leaving his mother’s shadow
バス停や母と子の影離れ行く
basu-tei ya haha to ko no kage hanare-yuku
leaving the bus station
the woman beside me
begins her rosary
バス発車ロザリオ唱ふ女性客
basu hassha rozario tonau josei-kyaku
first day of spring
first groundhog
立春やグラウンドホッグ初お見え
risshun ya guraundohoggu hatsu-omie
days after her visit
the potted tulips
bloom

鉢植えのチューリップ咲く数日後
hachi-ue no cyūrippu saku sūjitsu-go
the sun
enters my room
tulip by tulip
日の当たるチューリップ毎部屋の中
hi no ataru cyūrippu goto heya no naka
early to work
cherry blossom viewing
in the rain
早番の桜の花見雨の中

the crow lands
a petal falls

烏降り花びら池に散り落ちる

a bumblebee flies through

タンポポにマルハナバチやフェンス越ゆ
tampopo ni maruhanabachi ya fensu koyu
turning off the alarm clock
hearing the first geese
雁の声目覚まし時計止めりけり
kari no koe mezamashi-dokei tomeri keri
the robins brush wings
as they pass
in and out of the nest
駒鳥の羽擦り合はす巣の出入り
komadori no hane suriawasu su no deiri
