Haiku beyond Earth「天上俳句会」Haiku by Vathilapraba in India

Flowing through leaf
rain, dew glistens..
with brilliance of lightning!

inazuma ni  kagayaku tsuyu ya  kirakira to

Noise of hooves
reverberating entire pasture..
rhythmic moose!

herakika no  hizume no hibiku  bokusōchi

Deep sea- fishing..
whilst casting nets,
the resting oars!

ami nage te  ōru no yasumu  shinkai-gyo

Frosty morn –
at dew’d petals of flowers,
sun, viewing its countenance

shimo no asa  tsuyu no hanabira  hi wo abiru

How bloomed –
at the broken bough,
a butterfly!

oreshi eda  hana saku gotoku  chō tomaru

Kitchen room
fully blown with
mother’s aroma!

tachikomeru  haha no kaori ya  daidokoro

Starless night –
from the house of darkness
overflown.. the sobbings!

hoshi naki yo  yami no ie kara  susuri-naki

Heard distant..
the dirge song
for the man, deceased!

tōku kara  kikoeru aika  naki hito ni

Flute song so sad
when mixed with wind…
ah! corpse anon.

Must be his final song –
commenced singing,
the pilgrim at early mist!

asatsuyu ni  junrei no uta  kareno uta

-Interpreted into Japanese by Hidenori Hiruta

  1. Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings.

I had the opportunity to read the Akita International Haiku Network magazine featuring my haiku poems. I truly enjoyed it. It brings me great joy to see my haiku poems in the Japanese language. With love and gratitude, I thank you for making this possible.

    Thank you
