Flowing through leaf
rain, dew glistens..
with brilliance of lightning!

Frosty morn –
at dew’d petals of flowers,
sun, viewing its countenance
霜の朝露の花びら日を浴びる

How bloomed –
at the broken bough,
a butterfly!

Starless night –
from the house of darkness
overflown.. the sobbings!

Heard distant..
the dirge song
for the man, deceased!
