A long walk
We leave for Mauritius after marriage. A drive through the sugarcane fields from the airport to the cabin that would be our home for the next few days.
This overcast morning with low stratus clouds we take a trip on the coastal waters.
After a few minutes into cutting in the engines, I take the tiller from the boatman. Part to test my skill and part to show off to the wife.
A voyage with heavy and fair weather. Our strengths and weaknesses. Favorable and adverse currents. Spring and neap tides. Failures and successes. Insecurities and challenges.
Three decades. Love triumphs.
