On October 16, 2018, such a nice e-mail arrived at the Akita International Haiku Network from Mr. Eduard Schmidt-Zorner in Ireland.
It was a great submission of haiku and tanka with his bio and photos.
BIO
Eduard Schmidt-Zorner is an artist and translator of poetry.
He is writing haibun and haiku in four languages: English, French, Spanish and German and holds workshops on Japanese and Chinese style poetry.
He is a member of four writer groups in Ireland. He lives in County Kerry, Ireland, since more than 25 years and is a proud Irish citizen.
He was published in 26 anthologies, literary journals and broadsheets in UK, Ireland and USA.
Writes also under his pen name: Eadbhard McGowan

brittle seams of a worn heart

雪のようなサンザシの花びら

look at the kind moon,
round like a crisp healthy bread
promising deep sleep
優しい月を見てごらん、
カリカリした健康的なパンのように丸い

herons are startled
storm stirred the calm water
fish takes quick refuge
鷺がびっくりしている
