Haiku by Mircea Moldovan

lost beaches

in the whale belly

a white dove

*The poem refers to the “Book of Ionas”, a biblical writing, when Ionas – in Latin language “dove”, was swallowed by a large fish.At that time the earth was ”clean”

bus stop

just a wounded bird

and the rusty rain

enlightened earth

the moon gives him gifts

night after night

Fukushima…

in a little girl’s locket

a dewdrop

desert…

a tired century

sharpening his the knife

the last shore

asleep on the wreckage

a seabird

purple sky

purple earth

a swan on the lake

curfew

a little girl forgot

the doll´s name

deceptive sun

children from the slums

don´t like the earth
