Short Bio
Nadejda Kostadinova is from Sofia, Bulgaria.
She discovered haiku in the autumn of 2017. Since then, she has been writing and trying to capture the precious moments in daily life.
Her work has been published in various online and printed editions, among which are Asahi Shimbun, ESJU-H, Cattails, Presence, seashores, World Haiku Review, Wales Haiku Journal, Failed Haiku etc.
She has received several prizes and nominations in international competitions among which are: 1st prize in the 11th PIHC 2021 contest of the Polish Haiku Association (2021), 3rd prize in Maya Lyubenova International Haiku Contest (2020), selected in the outstanding collection in Soka Matsubara International Haiku Competition (2022), honorable mention in the 11th Setouchi Matsuyama Interational Photo Haiku Contest(2022), nominee in the 14th Yamadera Basho Memorial Museum Haiku Contest (2022), nomination in the Haiku Contest of the Haiku Society of Constanta dedicated to 10th anniversary of Fukushima disaster (2021), honorable mention in the 2021 Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and others.
She also writes poetry and enjoys traveling, photography, painting and astrology.
