地域連携・研究TOPICS:マクマレイゼミ（David McMurray’s Seminar）

2023.12.06 鹿児島国際大学 (The International University of Kagoshima) 産学官地域連携センターマクマレイゼミ (David McMurray's Seminar)、大隅半島の冬季の魅力を探る https://www.iuk.ac.jp/renkei/regional/archives/107 12月6日、国際文化学科のマクマレイゼミは「地域の特性を活かした季語を発見し、大隅半島で可能な地域活性化をビジョン化する」をテーマにフィールドワークを行いました。ゼミ生たちは、垂水市の千本イチョウで大隅の魅力を引き出す英語写真俳句作成に向けたインスピレーションを紡ぎました。歴史学習では、鹿屋航空基地史料館で写真や文献を通じて太平洋戦争当時から現代に至るまでの変遷を学びました。平和とは自動的に生まれるものではなく、俳句と同様に創生されるものであるとして、以下の英語俳句を詠みました。戦禍の中の俳句 Red maple leaves fallLove for war poetry fadesIn the winter sun 和訳：「散る紅葉　戦争詩への愛薄れ　冬日向」（国際文化学科マクマレイ教授作）かのやばら園では、年間を通して100種類も鑑賞できる温室のバラから連想できる季語探しを行い、高貴さを活かした以下の俳句を詠みました。 Eyes closedRevealing its secretsScent of the rose garden 和訳：「目を閉じて　秘密を暴く　バラの香り」（国際文化学科３年加藤慶和さん作）マクマレイゼミは今後も、冬季でも可能な大隅ツーリズムのあり方を模索していきます。国際文化学科４年　原　有輝かのやばら園鹿屋航空基地資料館千本イチョウ
