First of all, I would like to say, “We are grateful to haikuists and haiku fans in the world for contributing haiku to The 2nd Japan-Russia Haiku Contest.”

a spring morning

the dawn is adorned by

a nightingale’s song

 

春の朝

夜明けが魅力を添えられる

ナイチンゲールの歌で

crackle of a bough

a frog jumped into the water

on a sinking Moon

 

大枝のパチパチという音

蛙が水中に跳びこんだ

沈んでいく月の上に

 

 

roped up to a house

a cherry tree waving

with clean clothes

 

家の上部にロープでつながれた

桜の木が一本揺れている

きれいな衣服とともに

 

 

back from a trip

the silent greetings of

our blossoming cherry

 

旅行から帰る

無言の挨拶

私たちの花咲く桜

 

 

cherry in blossom

invited a swarm of bees

to the wedding banquet

 

花の咲いている桜

ハチの群れを招いた

結婚披露宴に

 

 

on a blossoming cherry

honey-bees combing

white blossoms

 

花の咲いている桜の木で

ミツバチが探している

白い花を

 

 

open window

over the carpet the wind scatters

petals from the cherry tree

 

開いている窓

カーペット中に風がまき散らす

桜の木から花びらを

 

 

blossoming cherry

with the spread wings of

a mottled butterfly

 

花の咲いている桜

広がった羽と共に

まだらの蝶の

 

 

Spring in the grass

under the cherry blossoms

a white cat

 

春だ! 芝生では

桜の木の下に

白猫が一匹

 

 

an old dog barking

the white petals are falling

from a faded cherry

 

老犬が吠えている

白い花びらが散っている

色あせた桜から

 

 

by the wind’s music

bare boughs dancing

with snowflakes

 

風の調べによって

むきだしの大枝が踊っている

雪片と共に

 

 

spring wind

flaunting a blond air

in front of a girl

 

春風

金髪を誇らしげに翻している

少女の前に
