ややすれば時落ちて星絶えしとふ地の花まぼるに我らすべきは

 

you tell me

probably, time falls and stars die

soon …

what should we do

for the flowers on this planet?

動くもの無しとおぼゆる丑刻に水田に映る月影の揺る

 

around 2:00

thinking there is nothing

to move …

the moonlight waves

on the paddy fields

草の葉の玉つゆこぼれ蒲公英の白毛まばゆき皐月の田畦

 

dropping

dew from blades of grass

dazzling

white cotton of the dandelion

on a paddy-ridge in May

光さす青群山(あおむらやま) の谷間（たにあい）に吐息のごとく藤のかをりの

 

the sun-rays

down to Edenesque valley

of mountains

…fragrance of the wisterias

like deep sighs

そろそろと山挟わけてたづね見む原始かをるか朴花の妙

 

time must come

going on a mountain path

to see …

heavenly flower, magnolia-obovata

the primeval aroma

エーテルの満つるところにその白き花冴えわたらむか四照花(やまぼうし)

 

does it shine

in the space full of aether?

yamaboushi…

the white flowers

blooming all over

 

※Yamaboushi is Cronus kousa.

色透きて田畦を巡る水の音の黄昏をうつ芒種の日なり

 

sound

of crystal water around

the rice fields

resonates through twilight

… the time of planting grains

黎明のしづけさ覚ます五月雨に無心ならざるに問ふこと多し

 

… ask a lot

of early summer rain

to break the silence at dawn …

because, at not no-mindedness

何處へと空いざなふや… 卯の花のしづく滴り仄かにかをり

 

where

does it lead me?

the flower of deutzia

dropping rain-dews

emits fragrance faintly

いち早く青爽やかに染まりゐし紫陽花見たり山藪の中　

 

first in the season …

I see

hydrangeas dyed

fresh blue
