sunny August day –

a man and his dog

pass away together

 

八月の太陽のよく照る日 ―

男と犬が

一緒に亡くなる

 

 

road accident –

a fireman rinses a rainbow

off the asphalt

 

道路事故 ―

消防士が虹を洗い落とす

アスファルトから

 

 

sunny day –

a flock of wooly dandelions

on pasture

 

太陽のよく照る日 ―

柔毛に覆われたタンポポの群れ

牧草地に

 

 

sunshine in lilies

someone’s hut

by an old road

 

百合に太陽光線

誰かの小屋

古い道路の傍に

 

I left my small

hometown long ago

lost in it today

 

私は小さな故郷の町を

ずっと昔に離れた

今日道に迷ってしまった

 

 

a field of rye –

somebody planted

a smiling scarecrow

 

ライムギの畑　―

誰かが植えた

微笑んでいる案山子を

 

 

sunset –

red cascades among clouds

fall on white snow

 

夕焼け ―

雲間の赤い滝状のものが

白雪に降り注ぐ

 

 

you, harvest moon,

if I fall into a pond,

will you catch me?

 

満月さん、

もし私が池に落ちたら、

私をつかめますか

 

 

garden frost : four magpies

and my husband surprised over

my failed risotto

 

庭の霜：4羽のカササギと

夫が驚いた

私の失敗作リゾットに

 

 

withered tree –

my window pane

full of wind

 

しおれた木　―

私の窓ガラスに

風が吹き付けている

 

 

a hay-loft and a stable

lean against

each other

 

干し草置き場と馬小屋

寄りかかっている

互いに
