on my palm
a sunbeam melts
fear
手のひらに
太陽光線が溶ける
恐怖
through my hands
sliding waterfalls –
reflection of silence
私の手を通して
滑り落ちる滝-
沈黙の映像
bees diving
in the flowers of gourds –
nightfall soon
ミツバチが急降下
ひょうたんの花の中に-
まもなく日暮れ
midday-
a boy and a cloud
running down the road
真昼-
少年と雲が道を駆け下りる
small stream –
on the girl’s face
dancing shadows
小さな流れ-
女の子の顔に
踊っている影
grassland –
a team of nice horses
and clouds
草原-
素敵な馬の一群と雲々
an old photo –
my grandmother’s
pale smile
古い写真-
私の祖母の淡い笑顔
gasping day –
the wind throwing shadows
over the roofs
息の止まるような日-
影を投げる風
屋根の上に
muddy puddle-
the pigs taking a bath
before sleep
泥の水たまり-
水浴びしているブタ
寝る前に
flight of a butterfly –
a cricket on old barn
chirping since yesterday
蝶の飛行-
古い納屋のコオロギ
昨日から鳴いている

Bio:
Evica Kraljić was born on February 18, 1952. She lives in Croatia.
She writes haiku, poetry; so far she published four books of poetry and a collection of war stories.
Her novels have been published in the magazines and her poetry in joint collections, as well.
Some of her poems have been put to music.
She received a number of awards for the work.
