Bio:

Stjepan Rožić (1946, Ivanić-Grad, Croatia) has been writing haiku since 1996 and has authored a number of haiku of anthological merit.

He has received a number of high awards in his country and abroad, mostly in Japan.

He is the president of the Haiku Association “Three Rivers” and its co-founder. He is also the co-founder and organizer of the Kloštar Ivanić Haiku gatherings (2003-2011), and the Gathering of Croatian Haijins in the town of Ivanić-Grad during the Pumpkin Festivals, since 2014. He also judges haiku in Kajkavian Dialect.

Since his childhood he has been an amateur musician playing several instruments, taking part in the work of a number of amateur and folk orchestras. He received a Medal for Merit to the People in 1985, and Order of Danica Hrvatska, with face of Katarina Zrinska in 2013.

He published 3 independent and as an author was included in 3 joint haiku collections. His haiku has been published in a number of anthologies and joint collections at home and abroad.
