abandoned house

in the overgrown courtyard

sings cicada

 

捨てられた家

生い茂った中庭で

蝉が歌う

 

fog

like white flowering

on a green meadow

 

白く咲く花のように

緑の牧草地に

 

silent night

lunar smear on the cheek

sleeping son

 

静かな夜

頬に月のスミア

眠っている息子

 

old manuscript

on a yellowed leaf

red hair-spring

 

古い原稿

黄ばんだ葉の上に

赤いひげぜんまい

 

September

bumblebee buzzes busily

over a withered flower

 

九月

マルハナバチがせわしなくブンブンいう

枯れた花の上

 

it’s drizzling

climbed out of the ground

shiny pebble

 

霧雨です

地面から出て来ました

光沢のある小石

 

washing

swimsuit in the grains of sand

Of the Mediterranean Sea

 

洗濯

砂粒の水着

地中海の

 

near the house

where did the master die

bloomed lilac

 

家の近く

マスターはどこで死んだの

花の咲いたライラック

 

end of winter

bullfinch swinging

on a thin branch

 

冬の終わり

ウソが動き回る

細い枝で

 

many times

darkness changed shades

sleepless night

闇が色合いを変えた

Bio:

Vera Lavrina was born in Kazakhstan, graduated from the faculty of history of Tomsk University, graduate school.

She taught philosophy, culturology, history at the Kuzbass Technical University. Currently, she teaches courses: iconology, Orthodox Church art, conduct classes with children in the children’s literary Studio.

The author of two dozen books and textbooks.

In her youth, her father introduced her to Ishikawa Takuboku’s poems. Since then, her passion for Japanese poetry began.

She is a diploma winner of the VIII (2016), prize-winner of IX and X (2017-2018) of international haiku competitions in Russian, the prize-winner of the contest “100 poems for Akita” (2017).

She is member of the Board of the international association of masters of poetic miniature. She lives in Siberia, in the Kemerovo city.
