  1. My thanks to the Judges for choosing this haiku. It was written in memory of my late sister and her beautiful eyes, and I’m honoured beyond measure that this haiku resonated with you. This has been the most lovely of Christmas gifts to receive! Congratulations to the winners, and I wish you all a happy, healthy, and creative new year.

    shine on,
    Debbie

  2. Thank you Judges for selecting my inchworm haiku. During this pandemic, with lockdowns and cancellations, it becomes easier to despair. Who will become ill? Will I keep my job? When will it end? During one worrisome afternoon, after an orchard walk, an inchworm hitch-hiked on my shoulder. How confidently the inchworm continued on her journey, moving forward inch by inch, correcting if needed, but always making progress. This inch worm taught me many lessons. Peace and wellness, Marilyn Ashbaugh
