rainforest 
sailing in silence 
a firefly 

雨林
沈黙の中でのセーリング
ホタル

Piercing winter -
over his empty grave 
first snow 

身にしみる冬
彼の空の墓の上
初雪

waning moon
mother asks my name 
twice

下弦の月
母が私の名前を尋ねる

overlapping
shadows of trees ...
high noon 

重複
木々の影
正午

constellation -
the homeless man counts 
his dreams 

星座 
ホームレスの男性が数える
夢を

evening loneliness 
the changing color
of maple leaves 

夕方の孤独
変化する色
カエデの葉の

whiff of air -
the field swells with 
ripening rice 

空気の匂い
フィールドは膨らむ
実った稲で

morning quietness 
in the distance 
call of a muezzin 

朝の静けさ
遠方に
ムアッジンの呼び声

dead of winter 
I colour my greys 
with a brighter shade 

冬の死者
グレーに色を塗る
より明るい色合いで

pied cuckoo 
the sound of rain 
on leaves

Short Bio:

 Monalisha Gogoi is an Agriculture officer with Master degree in Horticulture and a haiku enthusiast.
 She fell in love with Japanese poetry in 2017. 
She uses her pen name Cherry A from time to time. 
 In her leisure time she loves to write haiku, read books and also loves to cook. 
  Her work has been published in ESUJ-H :English Haiku, Femku Magazine, Fresh Out magazine, Haikuniverse, Haiku Dialogue, Under the Bāsho, Failed Haiku, The Bamboo Hut etc.
  She lives with her husband and daughter in Assam, India .
