உறவுகள் கூடின
கண்களில் கண்ணீர்
பண்டிகை விடுமுறை

Neighbourhood togetherness
Tears in their eyes
Festival holiday

近所の一体感
彼らの目に涙
お祭りの休日

புத்தகத்தை புரட்டினேன்
எங்கோ கேட்கிறது
மரங்கொத்தியின் சத்தம்

Reading a book
Too far from here
Hearing wood-pecker's sound

本を読んでいる
ここから遠すぎる
キツツキの鳴き声を聞く

வானொலியில் பாடல்
துண்டிக்கப்பட்ட மின்சாரம்
கூவத்துவங்கும் குயில்

Song from a radio
Power cut
Cuckoo's song

ラジオからの歌
停電
カッコウの歌声

அசையும் துடுப்புகள்
விரையும் படகு
கரையேறும் நிலா

Moving oars
Running boat
Landing moon

動くオール
走るボート
着陸する月

உள்ளே நுழைந்து
வெளியேறும் காற்று
உயிர் வாழும் கூடு

Inhaling oxygen
And exhaling air
Soul-living nest

酸素を吸入する
そして空気を吐き出す
魂の生きる巣

கிணற்றில் விழுந்த நிலவு
வெளியே இழுத்துப்போட்டது
நீர் இறைக்கும் வாளி

Fallen down moon in the well
Pulling it out
Draw-well bucket

井戸の中に落ちた月
引き抜く
釣瓶を引く

கடல்நோக்கி நடக்கிறது
தாகத்தோடு நதி

Water drought
Walking towards the ocean
Thirsty river

水の干ばつ
海に向かって歩く
のどが渇いた川

Crow's nest
Fascinating rhythm
Singing cuckoo

カラスの巣

歌っているカッコウ

கவலையோடு குழந்தை
பொம்மையாய் மாறும் கடவுள்

Missing toy
Worrying baby
Transforming god as a toy

行方不明のおもちゃ
心配している赤ちゃん
神をおもちゃに変える

About Me:
My name is Munaivendri N.Velmurugan from Munaivendri village, Sivagangai District, Thamizhnadu. 
My education qualification is M.C.A., Currently, i am working as a Software engineer. 
I have been writing poetries in both tamil and english including haiku since 2005. And, i have been updating my poetries including haiku, articles in my blogger http://munaivendrinaasureshkumarkavithaikal.blogspot.in/. 
So far, i have published two poetry books in which my second poetry book is a haiku book written by me in tamil called "குழந்தைகளும் பொம்மைகளும் கடவுளும்" ( Babies, Toys and a God ). 
For this poetry book, i got an award in 2014. 
My poetries have been publishing in various news papers, magazines and broadcasting in various Radio and FM stations.
