autumn night deepens
between falling star and I
exchanging stories

秋の夜が深まる
流れ星と私の間
話を交わす

midnight...
the reflection of petals
on basho's old pond

真夜中
花びらが映る
芭蕉の古い池に

after rain...
the croaking of frogs
fills the emptiness

雨上がり
カエルの鳴き声
空所を埋める

the last of autumn
a spider weaves necklace out
of a falling star

秋の終わり
蜘蛛がネックレスを織る
流れ星の

in peaceful days--
a veteran forgotten
myosotis

平和な日々に
忘れられた退役軍人
ワスレナグサ

setting sun...
escaping the world
in solitude

夕日
世界からの脱出
独りで

spring morning--
puddles after rain
childhood pond

春の朝
雨上がりの水たまり
子供の頃の池

deep winter...
the deadly silence
of sleepless heron

深い冬
致命的な沈黙
眠れないサギの

a pair of baby shoes
how slowly
wets a mother's cheeks

ベビーシューズのペア
なんてゆっくりと
母親の頬を濡らすのだろう

Childhood awakened
the softness of snow
on these palms

目覚めた子供時代
雪の柔らかさ
この手のひらに
