春きたり雪のあがたの天開き重き調べの冬越えしかも

spring arrives…

sky in snowy homeland

opening-up

we finally pass

heavy tone of winter

春の雪 幽かに影り消ゆる川 対を俟つかな白鳥一羽

spring snow

shimmering and melting

into the river

a swan looks

as if waiting for a mate

明る妙 春のまほらの夜をわたる望月さえてわが恋慕はも

ethereal brightness…

clear full moon crossing

over

the beauteous spring night

now, my love is…

朧なる春の有明しづみゆく靄りの雪野しじまひろぐる

at dawn

vague spring moon

setting over…

silence spreading

in the hazy snowfield

フロントガラスにはららぐ春の雨 空曇るより先降りにける

sprinkling…

spring rain falls over

the windshield

before the sky begins

clouding over

またたくま雪を消し去る春の雨わがわだかまりも黙し流せり

in a flash…

spring rain melting snow

wordlessly

washes away something

which hangs over my heart

崩落の瓦礫累々 土叙(トルコ・シリア)地震かなしみ溢れ世界ゆるがす

in heaps of debris

from falling buildings―

grieves overflow

Turkey and Syria earthquakes

quivering the world

遥かなる被災地の友の安否は……無事であれよとWEBをたづぬ

How are 

my friends in the faraway 

disaster areas?

with prayers for their safety

I ask the web

宇の戦争なほも続きて胸さわぎ今日も隣国ミサイル飛ばす　

The war in Ukraine

still going on breaks my heart…

Today too
