CALL FOR SUBMISSION
A historic milestone in literary collaboration, Pakistan Japan Cultural Association, Islamabad, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, proudly announces the launch of its 1st International Haiku Anthology 2026.
This landmark initiative invites poets from around the world to participate in this unique global literary initiative.
By participating in this anthology, you will have the opportunity to:
Become part of Pakistan’s first multilingual, international haiku anthology, initiated by PJCA Islamabad.
Be considered for inclusion in Pakistan’s first haiku-based music project, where PJCA Islamabad plans to compose and produce musical interpretations of selected haiku from the anthology.
Submit your finest work and be part of this historic literary journey.

PJCA Islamabad’s 1st International Haiku Anthology 2026
Welcome to PJCA – 1st International Haiku Anthology 2026!
The Pakistan Japan Cultural Association (PJCA), Islamabad, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan invites poets from around the world to submit their original haiku for our 1st International Haiku Anthology 2026. We look forward to celebrating your creativity and sharing it with a global audience.
Submission Period:
- 15 April – 15 May (PST) – Entries submitted outside this period will not be considered.
Submission Guidelines:
- Please submit 1–2 original haiku in English (only one will be selected).
- Submissions must be unpublished and original, not AI-generated/assisted, and free from inappropriate or copyrighted content.
- No experimental or haiku with special formatting.
- Only selected contributors will be notified by email.
Eligibility & Content Policy:
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, not under consideration elsewhere, and not previously shared on social media/blogs.
- Submissions must not contain plagiarism, offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content. PJCA reserves the right to reject entries that do not meet these standards or without assigning any reason by the selection panel.
Publication & Rights:
- The anthology will be published on the PJCA Islamabad official website and available for free download.
- Authors retain full ownership of their work. By submitting, contributors grant PJCA permission to publish their haiku with full credit.
- The anthology is strictly for cultural and literary purposes, not for commercial use.
