For New Year 2012 (15) : Haiku by Oprica Padeanu, Romania (3)

On December 20, 2011, Patricia Lidia in Romania, kindly presented a haiku calendar to us.

The haiku calendar was made by Ioana Dinescu and Constanta Erca in Romania.

Here is a photo of the month August.

I mowed the grass

and watched it growing –

sun at sunset                                                          Sorin Tona Boc

Here is a cover of  “Blackbird’s song”.

Here are some haiku from “Blackbird’s song”, which are translated into English by Mr. Vasile Moldovan, with my Japanese translation.

This is the third part of summer haiku.

SUMMER SHADOWS

Silence around –

the shadow of a passer–by

broken by butterflies

The air, the green…

drew by the butterflies

on the flotation lane

The noon breeze –

a black swan graciously

among the water lilies

Noon steams –

the swan’s shadow

elongated by a frog

On the old hut,

an albatross

loaded with light

Sunset

gulls carrying on the back

the sea echo

A poppy comes in the world –

I see a haiku

on the life line

The wind in play–

my sight stopped

on a rose

Cherry trees in fruit

the waving of the grass

closed in the twilight

Books storehouse

I comes out for a handful

of cherries

Summer moon–

between me and spider

a book marker

Scorching day–

at the scarecrow shadow

a lullaby

  1. Lovely calendar and haiku from Romanian poets. One of the first international haiku poets I met was Ion Condrescu when he was visiting Japan. I cherish my copies of Albatross and a painting by Ion.
