 spring morning

a flock of rooks cawing plans

above the town

 

春の朝

ミヤマガラスの群れがカーカー鳴いて案を立てている

町の上

 

 

butterflies and flowers

on a spring meadow

dancing renga

 

蝶と花

春の牧場で

踊っている連歌

 

 

flowering crocus

offers a drop of dew

to the sparrow

 

花咲くクロッカス

一滴の露を差し出す

雀に

 

 

flooded forest

each tree resting

on its reflection

 

浸水した森林

木がそれぞれ静止している

その影に

 

 

a flushed forest

on a rotten stump

snails taking a rest

 

洗い流された森林

腐りかけた切り株の上に

カタツムリが休んでいる

 

 

geese gazing

at a channel

beyond the fence

 

ガチョウがじっと見ている

側溝を

フェンスの向こう

 

 

spring day

the minefield full of

ox-eye-daisies

 

春の日

地雷原は一杯である

フランスギクで

 

 

through open window

spring morning is full of

crowing crows

 

開いた窓を通して

春の朝が一杯である

鳴いているカラスで

 

 

holding it in its beak

a magpie bathes the worm

in morning dew

 

くちばしにくわえて

カササギは虫を洗う

朝露で

 

 

a ruined roof

the swallows build

a new nest

 

崩壊した屋根

ツバメが作る

新しい巣を

 

 

slowly from the sleep

rising out of the thicket

the spring sun

 

眠りからゆっくりと

茂みの外に昇ってくる

春の太陽

 

 

an army waste disposal –

into the tank’s muzzle a sparrow

draws a straw

 

軍隊のごみ処理 ―

タンクの口の中へ

スズメがわらを引っ張る
