Let haiku be on the UNESCO list!

 

Here is a letter of support of the campaign from Ms. Marija Pogorilic, Rovinjsko Selo, CROATIA.

The former half is written in Croatian, and the latter half in English.

We sincerely wish to appreciate and share it with each other.

Postovani,

biti u haiku svijetu to je nesto najbolje i najljepse sto se covjeku danasnjice moze dogoditi. Spoznavsi haiku usla sam u jedan caroban svijet ljepote, leprsavosti, dusevnoga mira i spoznaje kako zivot sa haiku moze biti znatno drugaciji, zanimljiviji pa i laksi. Haiku volim iz dna svoje duse jer je meni doista promijenio zivot nabolje, zato ga i pisem u svakom trenutku bilo dana ili noci jer haiku stihovi su jednostavno u meni. Sigurna sam da haiku stihovi mogu pomoci u kvalitetnijem zivotu covjeka jer se to meni davno i dogodilo. A da li haiku KAO NACIN ZIVOTA moze pomoci u ocuvanju Mira u Svijetu to je relativno jer ovisi o mnogo cemu. Kada bi se usijane glave latile haiku, a ne oruzja, bilo bi to savrsenstvo zivljenja. Haiku je biser svjetske kulture koga moramo ljubomorno cuvati i njegovati i kao takav pomoci ce u ocuvanju ljudskog dostojanstva i razvoju njegovog nutarnjeg svijeta kako bi zasjao punim sjajem i samo tako, puzevim koracima, moze pomoci u ocuvanju mira i ljudskog dostojanstva u svijetu.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

being a part of the haiku world is among the best and most beautiful things that happened to man of nowadays. Once I met and fell in love with haiku, I entered a world of beauty, airiness and the peace of soul, and an understanding  that life with haiku may be significantly different, more interesting and easier for me. I love haiku, from the bottom of my soul, for it changed my life for the better.  I write down my haiku moments, those moments that make my life from day to day.

 

Can haiku, as a way of life, help bring Peace to our World is relative and depends on many things. If the HOTHEADS of nowadays read and wrote haiku, changed the weapons for pencils, life would become a dignified  existence for each and every man and woman on this Planet.

 

Haiku is a very special pearl of the world culture and we must preserve and nurture him, for the way he is, he may help in saving dignity of man and development of his inner world,  thus helping it shine and so, with the pace of snail, help in saving the world in Peace and human dignity.
