Little boy crying
Nobody ever told him
That his cat would die
泣いている子
誰も彼に言わなかった
彼の猫が死ぬことを
Imprisoned dreams
All the books of my bookshelves
Are waiting for eyes
閉じ込められた夢
私の本棚のすべての本が目を待っている
Great calm of this night
Clad in the many shadows
Walking in silence
この夜のあたり一面の静けさ
多くの影に覆われている
無言のまま歩く
Heaven and earth talk
Cloud and mist mixed together
In the hands of trees
天と地が話す
木々の手の中で雲と霧が混ざり合っている
O great intellects
Allow your indifferent eyes
To contemplate flowers
おお、すばらしい知性よ
あなたの無関心な目に花々をじっと見させてください
The wisteria writes
a long and violet sentence
On the old grey wall
藤が書く
長いスミレ色の文を
古い灰色の壁に
Alas one cannot
Tame any wild weed
Or train a rose-tree
悲しいかな
人は野生の雑草を飼い馴らすことが出来ない
またバラの木を訓練することが出来ない
Your soul must travel
In the high ocean of clouds
To attain your dreams
あなたの魂は旅をしなければなりません
高い雲の海で
あなたの夢をかなえるために
On the narrow lines
Of the poems he inspires
Bashō walks again
彼が霊感で作り出す詩の細い行の上を
芭蕉は再び歩く
Bashō my master
Sitting calmly near his pond
Had his little frog
芭蕉 私の師匠
彼の池の近くに穏やかに座っている
小さな蛙を持っていた
