whatever direction

I go

 

秋の強風

どの方向でも

私は向かう

 

severe blizzard

some of the wind

in the chimney

 

激しい強風

風の一部

煙突に

 

sunday morning

there must be a good reason

for the rook racket

single walnut fruit

among bare boughs

a new constellation

Bio:

Djurdja Vukelic Rozic (Croatia, 1956) is a principal editor of print haiku magazine IRIS and IRIS International webzine.

She edited two Anthologies of Croatian Haiku poetry “An Unmown Sky” (2011 and 2018) in Croatian, English and partly in the dialects spoken in Croatia and organized a number of contests.

Beside haiku, senryu and tanka she publishes short stories and lyrics in Croatian, Kajkavian and English.

For her work she has received a number of recognitions and awards.
