1.

 

         

 

横田滋氏命終す子たづぬる心境おもひ身じろぎもせず

 

Mr. Shigeru Yokota

passed away

thinking of his mind

to look for his daughter

I can’t stir…

 

※Mr. Shigeru Yokota, father of N.Korean abductee Ms. Megumi Yokota passed away on 5th.June, 2020.  May his spirit rest in peace.

 

2.

 

COVID-19の猖獗しづめそめ生産かへり君は行くらむ
 

as the pandemic

of COVID-19 begins

subsiding

and productions are restarted–

you will leave here

 

3.

 

 

さみだれの雲にまばゆき君子蘭わが母去りてなほ愛ほしき

 

Kaffir lily 

shining toward the clouds

in rainy season

I’ve loved it still more 

since mom passed away 

 

4.

 

 

けざやかに山しげりゆき昨日(きぞ)みたぬ蕨けふには青冴え笑まむ

 

bright, vivid

luxuriant Mountains…

yesterday’s small brackens

today grow green 

and smile

 

※5月中旬、朝の散歩途中に蕨採りをしました。

While morning-walking, I picked up brackens in the middle of May.

 

5.

 

 

玲玲と用水は田にそそがれてエーテルわたる朝に清(すが)しき

 

ringing

with crystal sounds…

water flows

into paddies on a fresh morning

with the aether

 

6.

 

 

天づたふ日は高くあり鏡田に銀河ちりばめ早苗ことほぐ

 

through the welkin…

the sun rising high

sets

the galactic stars on the paddy fields

celebrating rice sprouts

 

7.

 

 

鏡田に揺るぎ映りし日輪はわれとかたらふ君のあはれか

 

Mirror-Paddy

reflects the sun waving subtly

Is it your mind

in a dialogue

between you and me?

 

8.

 

  

別人の君を其処(そ)に見て事をのみ関はりもたずと吾は離(か)れにき

 

seeing you 

as a different person there

I understand all…

not involved with another-you

I leave 

 

9.

 

同轍を踏むまひと思はざりしも火傷の記憶瞬時回避す
 

Not thinking of

that I never will step

on the same rut…

let me avoid it instantly

a scar from a burn

 

10.

 

 

マルベリは唐紅(からくれなひ)にしみ小(ち)さき円(つぶ)ら煌めき水無月あくる

 

Mulberries

dyed in crimson

Rubies

of a fruit twinkling

…June starts
