Bio:
Nina Kovačić (née Ružička) was born in Pula, Croatia and lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.
Within her literary opus, the majority of works are written in short Japanese forms of poetry and prose (haiku, senryu, haibun and haiga) and she has been publishing them since 2012 continuously in Croatian and English, in both national and international print and online magazines and almanacs.
For her works, she received awards and commendations at national and international haiku contests.
She is a member of the Croatian Cultural Association, the United Haiku and Tanka Society (USA) and the Editorial Board of Croatian Haiku Magazine IRIS.
