spring drizzle
the bipinnate leaves
fold into shyness

 

春の霧雨

双ピンの葉

折り重なって恥じらう

 

waters of spring
father backstrokes
into healthiness

 

春の水

父が背泳ぎをする

健康へ

 

herdsman’s call –
the cowbells marching
from the horizon

 

牧夫の呼びかけ

牛の鈴が行進する

地平線から

 

rice fields . . .
bent woman reaping
gossip

 

田んぼ

腰の曲がった女性の刈り取り

うわさ話

 

gardening —
the maid pockets
the jasmines

 

ガーデニング

少女がポケットに入れる

ジャスミンを

 

train window
a monarch butterfly wings
from my fingertips

 

電車の窓

オオカバマダラが飛んで行く

私の指先から

 

autumn sky –
patches of twilight
in the falling leaf

 

秋の空

たそがれのパッチ

落ち葉に

 

starlit night
where do I begin
to tell the story

 

星明かりの夜

どこから始めよう

話を

 

holding on
with what she left behind  
winter moon

 

持ち続ける

彼女が残したものと一緒に

冬の月

 

a night old moon
how light it feels being
foreign

 

夜の古い月

何て軽い感じでしょう

無関係であることは

Bio:

Ramesh Anand’s first wife is haiku.

He picked up haiku as part of his meditation routine at the age of thirty. Haiku has brought deep meaning to his living.

Writing haiku brings together his body, mind and soul together on weekend after five days of hectic work over the week days.

Haiku often drives his vacation destinations.

He is very thankful to all the poetry festivals, Journals and forums that keeps him seeking for new haiku from his moments of life.
