in a deserted village
richly lives an ivy
all over the fences
無人の村で
ツタが豊かに生きている
フェンス中に
shadows of youth
on the bank of a lake
in recall
若者の影
湖のほとりに
思い出
reflection of trains
the lake is calm
only the bridge trembles
列車の反響
湖は穏やかです
橋だけが震える
old fishermen
and curly pelican
near the net are in silent
老漁師
そして巻き毛のペリカン
網の近くで沈黙
unhappy past
offers a bitter smile
to the future
不幸な過去
苦い笑顔を差し出す
未来へ
migrants –
soft borders of Europe lures
into distant dreams
移民
ヨーロッパの穏やかな国境は魅力となる
遠い夢
in the bell tower
breathless end of the rope
an old bell-ringer
鐘楼に
息をのむロープの先端
年老いたベルリンガー
across a dry bed
driven by a strong wind
dust flows
乾燥した川床を横切って
強風にさらされ
ほこりが流れる
the sunset
a ship on the horizon sails
towards the moon
日の入り
水平線上の船が進む
月に向かって
with the singing of the birds
magnolia blossoms
at a snail’s pace
鳥のさえずりで
モクレンの花が咲く

Mr. Vladmir Šuk kindly and delightedly presented three photos of haiku for the World Haiku Series 2019.
Bio:
VLADIMIR ŠUK was born on March 5th 1956 in Zagreb, lives in Oroslavje.
He graduated from the Faculty for Foreign Trade in Zagreb, worked in tourism and was the head of the People’s Academy, Oroslavje.
He is the licenced judge for the nord skiing and a secretary of the union of the Ecological associations for the County of Krapina-Zagorje.
He is a painter and a caricatu-rist, a member of the art workshop Lipa from Gornja Stubica, with several exhibitions behind him.
He has published poetry since grammar school and has been represented in a number of joint poetry collections, journals, recitals and festivals of kajkavian lyrics and music, and poetry in Croatian literary language.
He has received a number of awards for his poetry. He is a member and among the founders of Croatia-Zagorje literature association, a member of Eco-paper, Oroslavje, and a member of several editorial journals and
magazine teams.
So far he has published a book The heart lies not and a poetry collection
in the Kajkavian dialect.
Haiku he publishes in joint collections and journals in Croatia and Japan, takes part in haiku recitals in Croatia. Ready for publishing are his three haiku collections.
He is among the authors in the Anthology of Croatian Haiku poetry 1996-
2007 and 2008-2019 “An Unmown Sky” and in the Registry of the Haiku Foundation.
