Haiku by an’ya

 

 

crescent moon

at rest in the arms

of a full moon

 

三日月

腕の中で休息

満月の

 

 

motionless sky

twilit limbs release

a bald eagle

 

動かない空

薄明かりの手が解き放す

白頭ワシを

 

 

ascending

with its most noble prize –

common crow

 

上昇

最も見事なほうびを持ってー

普通のカラス

 

 

O sweet songbird

only you make the best

of a dreary day

 

おお、美しい声の小鳥よ

あなただけが最善を尽くす

憂鬱な日の

 

 

dawn

the croak from one frog

starts a round

 

夜明け

一匹のカエルからの鳴き声

輪唱を始める

 

 

silk and glass

a spider goes to and from

the wind chime

 

シルクとガラス

クモが行き来する

ウインドチャイム

 

 

female pinecone

the fog squeezes into

its spirals

 

雌松かさ

霧が押し入る

そのらせん導管に

 

 

from the rear

just the right sashay

for a porcupine

 

後ろから

ちょうどいいシャッセ

ヤマアラシのために

 

 

sudden gust

a young starling fans

its tail

 

突然の突風

若いムクドリがあおぐ

その尻尾を

 

 

mountain air

a caterpillar reaches

the twig’s end

 

山の空気

毛虫が達する

小枝の端に

an’ya is an internationally recognized poetess who has won 150+ contests, and judged many haiku and tanka contests as well. She has many published books to her credit. and been published in 200+ places.
