first sunrise –  

a wrinkled leaf catches 

the golden light

初日の出

しわよった葉がとらえる

金色の光を

pony ride –

pink-ribbon pigtails 

follow her squeals

ポニーライド

ピンクのリボンのお下げ髪

鳴き声について行く

3.

beachside stroll –

clinging to the salt breeze

the smell of dried fish

ビーチサイドの散歩

潮風がしみつく

魚の干物のにおい

4.

long weekend –

in every vacant field

a game of cricket

長い週末

すべての空いているフィールドで

クリケットのゲーム

5.

final goodbye –

your pink allamanda 

wave in the breeze

最後のさようなら

あなたのピンクのアラマンダ

そよ風に揺れる

6.

self-isolation –

clusters of frangipani 

just outside my reach

自己隔離

フランジパニのクラスター

まさに手の届かないところ

7.

out of beat

on a summer evening

inconstant rain

拍子外れ

夏の夜に

一定しない雨

face down –

an April noon bereft

of dreams

顔を下にして

4月の正午が失っている

夢を

social distancing- 

I get the gossip 

from the crows

対人距離の確保

ゴシップを得る

烏から

10.

leaving behind

the grimy city –

cotton clouds


置き去りにする

汚れた街を–

綿の雲

Notes:

  3. Beautiful verses and equally beautiful art by your daughter! My favorites here are face down,social distancing and also the pony ride. The last one is so visual!
